 Flea Products for Pets Petcor is another good residual spray for use on pets. It contains the Precor IGR and pyrethrins, so it will kill both the eggs and the adult fleas. It is ordinarily only available through veterinarians. This is an excellent flea shampoo for dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens. It contains triple pyrethrins and natural soothing aloe. It may be used full strength or diluted with 2 parts water. Wet animal for 2-3 minutes before using. Be sure to apply to all parts of the animal except the eyes. Let the animal stand for 3-5 minutes and then rinse. This treatment may be used as often as once a week. Rotenone-Pyrethrins is a very effective flea dip for dogs. Dilute this product 1 oz. to a gallon. It may be used every week.
