Thank you for your advice. I actually called 2 exterminators who are in my area. Both exterminators are very frustrated by the lack of effective pesticides to kill the bedbugs. They both mentioned that 3 months ago you can buy the pesticide over the counter and now you can't get it at all. I think they meant the strength of the pesticide. One of the exterminators left me 2 cans of pesticide that he used. It only contained 0.218% pyrethrin. Even the lice killer that I got over the counter at the local pharmicist contained at least a 1% solution. The other problem is lot of the exterminators here are refusing to go to bedbug calls. It seem that irate customers are calling them back again and again. This so far is what I have learned from speaking to the 2 exterminators. The last exterminator I called actually called me back today to see how things are going. Well I have to say they are back again and I have to ask him to spray yet again. I understand now that this problems can not be eradicated with one treatment but it is an ongoing process. Point of note. The last exterminator did a very thorough job, the house was turned upside down when we got home the next day. So yes I have a lot more confidence in this fella then I did the first exterminator who left after 15 minutes.

: Local, meaning the owner lives and works in the community he services, quality meaning he does what he says he'll do and he guarantees his work, or he will take the time to educate his customers on what to expect. Privatly owned independent Pest Management Companys must be better at solving pest problems, customer service, and employee training to succeed against the big guys like Terminix and Orkin.
