Jennifer, you are right to want to find the cause of your skin symptoms. Fortunately, what you have is most likely not bedbugs. Look for harborage sites, as described elsewhere on this site and the Web. No doctor can diagnose from a bite, as many different bug bites may look the same, and every individual is different in their reaction to a given bug bite. Therefore, you need to find a bug, dead or alive, and take it to an expert for a positive ID (or post a pic on e-Bug). Good luck to you, and I hope your symptoms go away bientot.
