: : : That's why I'm looking it up on google. I noticed it about 3 weeks ago. At first I thought something I bought at a store. Then I noticed them on cabinet doors and ceilings. I prolly kill 5 every other day. Gross! Does anyone know what these are and where they might be coming from

: : Append: One last thing. Someone else's comment made me remember this.... I have what appears to be the tiniest little moths that keep showing up. Lean, dark wings. When I kill one, they're kind of powdery.... (shrug)

: Append: Found a picture at http://www.geocities.com/tprjones/worm.htm

Append: The worms, most often, appeared on the South side of my kitchen and I keep baking goods there so that's where my search started. So last night I went though all the shelves and YES, I found the worms and the little moths in a bag of raisens, a bag of hazlenuts, in the Oatmeal, and in the box of poptarts (and nestled in the wrappers, too). They had eaten through the bags. The poptarts were the newest item in that area and arrived about the same time as the worm/moth infestation. I bought these at the Grocery Outlet. I don't know for sure if this is the issue, but I'm going to call them just in case.

p.s. bleach works to clean everything. Wear gloves. Expect the worms and moths to come out of their containers and drop on the counter and floors. I recommend tidying up the kitchen a bit before cleaning out the cupboards. By this I mean, move what you can out of the way - far out of the way. Clean and double clean. I looked around the kitchen this morning and I didn't find a trace of the little "pests".

Good fortune to you all.
