Thanks, Heather, for the "vote of confidence." I felt pretty sure that I had in fact found a horsehair worm, glad to know someone can confirm it. After looking at all the pictures I could find, I feel 100% sure that I did find a horseworm. Not only that, but I learned about a very interesting worm species in the process...

If I hadnt flushed it immediately, I would gladly send it on, for the sake of science. Hopefully the littla fella found a nice place to live down in the sewer :-)
