I suddenly found what I'm pretty sure are springtails in my shower. I'd never had this problem before. They seem to be resistant to drowning, since after showering they kept coming back, presumably out of the drain. I took the advice on this forum and sprayed X-14 cleaner to get rid of all of the mold/mildew around the shower and dumped a whole bottle of it down the drain for good measure. Since they feed off the mildew, taking the food supply away is a good start. After a few days, I haven't seen any more. Thanks for the advice.
