Brown Large Long-legged Jumping Spider

I have suddenly encountered these high jumping brown large spider looking creatures with six to eight cricket like legs. You know they form a "V" so they can jump high to meet you eye to eye. What are they and how do I get them packing? I do live near a wooed area in VA.
