My family has had the 'invisible' itchy things since February of this year. We have tried many natural pesticides and some not so natural. Only 3 or 4 things have worked consistently: Kleen-m-Away applied on the itch works well. Using Vinegar as a body spray before bed works. Washing bed linen with borax and using a soak cycle seems to help. I'm currently trying to get a good picture of the 'Beast'. It requires a minimum of 200x magnification and a lot of patience. It is very small; about the width of a human hair and shiny black- so if it is a mite, it will be the smallest on record. When it bites, it's like a no-see-um sting, except it lasts longer and can wake you from a deep sleep- but there are no marks or redness unless you scratch. What did you use to steam- clean and was that much help? I'll post a picture as soon as my microscope lens is re- placed with a better one. More later.
