invisible itchies...in my car?

i've read through the entire current forum and i'm sad to say that i seem to be one of the many many people complaining about invisible itchy things. my apartment had a pretty bad infestation of them; we thought they were fleas, so we vacuumed, sprayed, bagged our clothes, steam-cleaned, used borate powder, even called in terminix. finally got so bad i had to move back in with my family. things are better here, but every time i take my car somewhere (say, a restaurant or movie theater), i either start feeling itchy myself or else notice people around me starting to itch like they've never felt an itch in their lives till that moment. i haven't actually been bit (felt a bite or seen evidence of one) for quite a while, but the itchiness has never completely stopped. but even moreso than the itch, i am concerned that i'm taking these little things with me and spreading them around everywhere and i'd like to put a stop to it all. am i the only person with these invisible itchers that is concerned with infesting others? is it in my head?
