Is it a deal?

OK, here's the scoop.

I've begun to notice a type of bug that fits this decription:

Length: around 1/8"
Body build: Flat with a slightly curved up end.
Body Color: Dark brown or black, with an interesting big light brown circular patch by the 'abdomen' (on the top side, not on the underside).
Legs: Six - also light brown
Antennae: Yes, 2 black ones that are about the length of the bug itself.
Complexion: Shinny
Last seen: In the bathroom and bedroom of a NYC apartment.
Additional Comments: At it's end side (where it's curved up), it has two tiny thorn-like projections.
Threat: Unknown
