HUGE brown/lightbrown bug. Waterbug?

I live in NYC, and every once in a while I have these disgusting HUGE ones (2 inches) in my bathroom. They are brown/lightbrown, or
perhaps orange? When I see them I donīt really focus on their color. Anyway! Is this a waterbug? What is the difference between
a Waterbug and a cockroach? They sure look and behave the same. However I have noticed that they donīt climb so well.
