: : : : : Something has invaded our house. We live in Florida and recently have had a lot of rain (29
: : : : : days of it) two week ago something began biting my husband and then me. You can't see them,
: : : : : they are in our bed, in our clothes, in the carpets etc. We tried bug bombing, and washing
: : : : : the dogs and spraying the cats. They are not FLEAS! We know fleas. They actually got worse
: : : : : after we bug bombed. (Twice) We now have a pest control company spraying our house but these
: : : : : things are crawling on us all of the time. Biting and crawling. We went to my husband dermatologists,
: : : : : and all he did was give us some hydrocortisone cream. I asked him for some insect ointment
: : : : : but he said well they are not burrowing into your sking so he would not prescribe it. No they
: : : : : are just crawling all over us. We wash our clothes and sheets and the next day we have to do it again.
: : : : : Someone help. I don't know how much more of this I can take. If the spraying works for the
: : : : : house what can I get a doctor to prescribe for me!!!!

: : : : Hi, my heart goes out to you, my family has been battling this for a year now. We also live in Florida, but i have talked to a lady with the same problem and she lives in Chicago. I wash my bedding everyday and change clothes two to three times a day, I have been in tears many days including today. I have had two diff pest control companies out, they both said that we had bird mites, we have sprayed, fogged, fumigated, I have spent much money and to no avail. I even got my doc to give me a script for body mites but of course that did not help because they dont live on humans, they inhabit the furniture, carpet, and clothes. My oldest daughter had her carpet removed it helped a little. Permetrin is the best stuff to spray, ant or roach spray, but it has not fixed my problem, I hope we find a way to rid ourselves of this. Good luck

: : : Hi, I also live in Florida and have these mites. My wrists look terrible from scratching. It happens only at night - I think they are in the pillows, Its getting expesive buying new pillows....anyone find something that works??

: : Ok, I have tried several things including posions, and I have found that a mixture of vinegar and salt sprayed lightly on furniture helps a little. ( I don't know why but it does help a little) Maybe together we can figure this out.

:
: Has anyone tried tenting? My husband is convinced that that will take care of it but I am not so sure. If they are still on us we will just bring them back in when we come back in the house. Is there any way to get them off of us? Today is my mother's 74th birthday and I am afraid to go to her house in case I carry them there.
