We had a box elder bug problem - they moved in with us every winter - tons of them!! UHG!! The only thing that we found to solve the problem was to remove this gigantic FEMALE BOX ELDER TREE that was right in my back yard - after we cut the tree it took about a year for them to die off to reasonable proportions. They feed off the seeds that come from the female tree.
