In addition to spraying (which you have to be careful of if you have pets or kids), Check all your window screens and screen doors for openings where the little vermin are entering.

Get a flashlight and check around all your plumbing (where it enters your apartment), and seal any crevices you find. (I think it's Dap who makes an expanding foam that works well for this.)

I went through my place inch by inch - sealing up every crack and crevice, and (so far), I don't think even a flea could get in.
