I live in Louisiana and have been having the problem every fall for about 3 yrs. Before that I never saw ladybugs in such great number. I just clean them up daily, I have no solution. But I, like you, wonder if they could be nesting in the walls because there seem to be too many to have gotten in the house randomly. Let me know if you find a solution.
