black worms in tub

Recently I noticed black worms floating in my tub.
A few months ago i had a tub installed and it is situated upon 2x4's. Is it possible that because the tub needs recaulking that the wood is getting wet and causing the worms to appear. If I am correct how can i kill these nasty critters. PLEASE HELP!
