black worms in bathtub

Help I am thoroughly disgusted. I
have black wormlike things appearing in my tub. I don't know where they're coming from. Recently I had a tub installed and it is situated upon 2x4's, is it possible that they are wood worms from the wood getting wet? If you agree how can I kill them besides the necessary recaulking I know needs to be done.
