: Last spring a female carnial started pecking on our bedroom window from our hedges. My wife works 3rd shift, and could not sleep. I trimmed the hedges back, so she started dive bombing the window. She would hit so hard she'd slobber as she slid down the glass. This went on for a couple of months from thiry min. before sunrise to thirty min. after sunrise everyday. Then she turned into a he. I figured it must have been a young he that hadn't got his color yet. Then I got the idea of nailing a rubber matt I had over the window. It worked he stopped attacking the window. He started attacking the other bedroom window. So I nailed up another rubber matt on that one. Problem was my ladder wasn't tall enough for me to reach all the way to the top 6" of the glass. So he started attacking the top 6". Then one day my wife called me into the bedroom, and said you're not going to believe this. I looked and there at the top of the rubber matt was a male, and a female cardnial. Then they started attacking the kitchen window. One would attack the bedroom window, while the other one would attack the kitchen window.
: I live in town, so I can't shoot them. I don't know what to do

We have a product called Ropel. It is a taste repellent. Spray this on the wood and it leaves a bad taste in the birds mouth and they won't peck there. You may have to do every window on one side. To order click on www.e-bug.net or call 1-800-226-8370.
Sincerely,
Phyllis Teel
