what kind of bug is this?

Three months ago I started seeing little bugs that looks like fleas but are not.They are brown and slender. Some of them can fly. Others do not. They have soft bodies. I have found some in the bread box and kitchen cubards all the way to my couchs. I do not have any pets. I bought a fig tree for the house and a fern plant but they both look healthy. Please if you have any idea what they could be I would be and how to get rid of them I would be very greatfull.
