little brown bugs in room

I've recently been finding little brown bugs in my house. They are very tiny, hard shelled, solid dark brown and oval shaped. They do not appear to fly. I opened a wood drawer full of sweaters and found about 6 of them in the bottom. Also found them on the cutting board in the kitchen one day when I opened it up. Lately, I've been finding them randomly in the bed in my room. It is very disturbing and I am not sure how to get rid of them. I don't believe they are bed bugs from the pictures but haven't been able to identify them online. Maybe a beetle relative.
We recently remodeled the house and put in new carpet and brought in new wood, I wonder if the eggs weren't somewhere in the new product. The other thing is our bed is currently on the floor because the frame broke and we haven't replaced it yet - could that be part of the reason we are only finding them in our bed?
