little brown oval bugs

I've been finding these bugs for a while now. The closest thing I can find to this is the bed bugs, but these bugs are in broad day light. I've mostly found them in the bathroom sink and bath tub. They have a hard outer shell because I can hear a crunch when I kill them. They do not fly. I've checked my mattresses and bedding, and have found nothing. Currently my dog has been treated by the vet because she is constantly itchy all over her body. They seem to survive being drowned in water. I've seen the picture of the bed bug. These bugs that I am seeing in the house are in the shape of a long oval, not a round fat oval like the bed bug. They are very smooth on their outer shell. Does anyone know what these are?
