What is it - a new species of worm

After a rainy day, I found what I thought was a piece of thread on my rose bush. I tried to remove it but it began slithering around. It was alive. It turns out it was a white, very slender (size of a very thin thread) long (20 cm) worm or snake. It moved like a snake but both ends were very pointy, no sign of a mouth, smooth with no legs or hairs, etc... Any idea what it is. I have a picture of it. Not sure how to post the photo.
From a distance, it looked just like a long white very slender thread.
I searched on the internet and cannot find any mention of such a insect, worm or snake.
