Most other gnat breed in water sources such as leaks mop buckets plants drains etc. Purge 3 will kill the adult gnats. Then eliminate the breeding source. These gnats that are in my house are flying about anywhere I have water from when I was running it and I got cats that likes to crap and I got a plant and just about everything and I keep my house clean and there still trying to feed off of things. Is there a spray that I can use without harming my children. Sincerely, Mary
