Microscopic white insects? I posted my message yesterday but still haven't had any comments. Do you think yours and mine are booklice or some mold bugs? Please see my message below:
I found 2 very small insects crawling inside the pages of my magazine in the bathroom, then another 4-5 along the edges of the grout tiles where I placed the magazine. They were whitish in color and extremely small (small dust size). I didn't notice them until they move. Some of them moved only when disturbed. I saw them in bigger cluster on the wall when I lived in Hong Kong where humidity is 90%. So I deduced it must be the humidity in bathroom though I always ventilate and keep the door opened. But recently found a few crawling on 2 wooden items I bought from Ikea. What could these be? I checked online and narrowed it down to book lice but I am not convinced. The ones online are pointier on both ends; some have large heads, small necks and big bodies. Mine seem to be rounder, though I would need a microscope to confirm.
Could these be something else? I haven't seen them in my kitchen (open style) or food packets. By the way, I live in Brooklyn, NY. Thanks!
