Hi, all, I need some assistance pronto!
I'm housesitting for this pest control guy who had supplies in his closet. I went in there to get some floor cleaning stuff and accidentally knocked over a gallon of rat trap glue. The worst part is I hadn't known until the next day and it is all over the hardwood floor hallway! The hallway is stickier than a movie theater floor, and some of it got on me when I was trying to just clean it with regular soap, and even that small amount on my fingers was a bitch to remove.
It just isn't getting off the floor. It seems unresponsive to any soap I mop it with... plus it seems to have ruined the mop as well! This stuff is worse than The Blob! According to the can I should use vegetable oil or mineral spirits, but even that doesn't seem to work well... it seems to just make the glue slightly less sticky, but doesn't remove it.
What can I do? I've only got a few days to clean this up, and I fear I might have destroyed my friend's hardwood floor!
