mosquito problem

We have mangrove plants in pots with water and stones. We are now getting a mosquito problem in the home.I try rinsing the plants often, but to no avail. Is there something around the home which I can drop into the water
to prevent this? If not, products which I can purchase? I’m not sure what’s safe for the plants. Please help!!!
