Noise in Wall

Hi, I live in an older house in Gainesville, Florida. I've lived here for 2 years and we have had various bug problems from roaches to flies and spiders. Nothing too serious. The roaches started getting pretty bad, like they did last summer, so I used a few bug bombs and that took care of the problem (I think) The strange thing is, a few weeks ago (before the bug bombs) I started hearing noises in my wall next to my bed. It seems to be coming through the crack of the wall (my bed is in a corner.) It would wake me up at about 8 or 9 am. I would also hear it occasionally in the afternoon. To me, it sounds like a bug. I don't know how to describe the sound other than it is rhythmic. I don't recognize the noise. I don't know of any roaches or spider to make that noise, and whats more, it wasn't killed by the bug bomb. I have considered the possibility of mice, but I haven't heard any movement. Not until this morning anyways, this morning I heard the regular noise, followed by a distinct taping sound, a bit high up on the wall I think. That got me out of bed! I've been falling asleep next to this thing, wondering what it could be. I am beginning to get freak out by the possibilities. I know I have not given much information but it is all I know. Do you have any ideas on what it could be? I could possibly try to get a recording of the noise if that helps. Thank you, Drew
