Springtails?

They're small (flea-like), hop, and may be hard to kill. Look outside around the house right next to the foundation. If you see them there, that's your source. You'll need to call a professional exterminator and ask him to use Orthene. It's one of the only chemicles that will control these buggers.

: I've seen previous inquiries about what sounds like the same bug, however, none of the inquiries have gotten replies. Does anyone know about a very small black bug that hops and cannot be squashed (could be from the drain)?
