Tiny bugs in kitchen/bathroom?? (Photo attached)

I have been finding these tiny black/red bugs in my kitchen and bathroom for a few weeks now. They don't seem to fly although when I kill them they appear to have tiny red wings. I am not sure if they are elsewhere because it is carpeted so I may just not be able to see them. I am at a loss for how to get rid of them or even what they are. Any help would be appreciated.
