: An exterminator just identified the reddish brown bugs as spider beetles. Online research shows this to be correct, but unfortunately there must be something else in my apartment biting us or it is some kind of allergic reaction.

I am having this problem as well and although i'm not seeing any bites, i'm itching like crazy...My wife has actual bites that at first we thought were bedbugs, but we haven't found any traces of them (exterminator came in to look also).
