tiny black bugs with yellow stripes

I just found these little creatures in my breakfast nook. They are black with yellow stripes. I step on them and I can hear them "pop". They are very small and I have no idea where they are coming from or what they are. I have never seen them before and don't know what to do to get rid of them. Are my cats and dogs in danger?
