bed bugs in car?

Last weekend on a driving trip through New England, I woke up with 2 bedbugs in my bed. It was all too easy to ID them since they were well-fed adults and slow-moving.

We tried being very careful upon returning home: bagged all clothing, washed/dried it at high heat, and threw away non-washable, non-freezable stuff.

I have been developing more and more bite marks over the last two days, and now have a total of probably 30. They're the first I've seen and I've been told they may finally be manifesting from 10 days ago at the hotel.

I haven't seen any evidence that they're in the house (a single family home) but I have a PCO coming tomorrow morning to inspect.

So, first request: what are the top 5 questions I should ask him?

Second request: a big concern right now is the car. Our things were all over the rear hatch area and backseat, and our purses were on the floor in the front seat. At the advice of the first PCO I contacted, I sprayed the car interior with deltamethrin (Bonide Delta 8) - probably way too much. I let it sit overnight and drove the car for a couple of days with the windows down. But I developed some skin irritation so decided to rent a car for awhile. My own car has been sitting in the driveway for several days now with the windows cracked.

Before I take the car to be steam-cleaned to try to get rid of the residual spray, I obviously want to make sure I've done everything possible to ensure that the BBs are gone. I sure don't want to treat the house, then bring them back in from the car (or, God forbid, bring them to work).

All advice appreciated - esp from AA and Artie who seem to know a lot!

Thanks,
Liz
