: I was wondering, do the number of bites indicate how severe the infestation is? Although they have been around for awhile, I've never woken up with more than four bites.

Sorry for the delayed response, but...

The RAID Ant with Permethrin and Pyrethrins *does* work on bed bugs, I've seen it with my own eyes. A can with just a tiny bit left, barely spraying out, killed a previously moving bed bug very quickly (only a couple seconds). I suppose it might depend on the exact species, but it does.

The 'problem' with the RAID stuff is the residual isn't very long, especially in relation to the professional stuff, but it's a distinct option and relatively safe - no need for protection (mask, etc) to apply it, though of course follow the directions and be safe.

Re: bites - It really depends how sensitive you are to them, not all the bites necessarily become anything. I had them for a couple months, a good sized infestation, and never saw more than a few bites each day.
