: I had the same problem. I read to try vinegar and it works but they came back. The exterminator said they are difficult to get rid of. One application of anything doesn't do it. He told me to dilute bleach 1 to 1 with water, and pour two cups down every drain in the house (all sinks, showers, tubs, and floor drains--upstairs and basement)every night for four straight nights before you go to bed. I did this and the first couple of nights there wasn't much reduction but after four they were essentially gone. I think that they got in the cracks on the bathroom floor tile at the wall and where the caulk was bad around the sink so sometimes I find one. So I recaulked. But the key is four straight nights every drain in the house or they come back. And buy the bleach at a dollar store. The bugs don't know the difference. This procedure will tarnish some of your metal drain covers and leaves black gunk around the drain. Brillo pad works good. The exterminator said that sometimes you need something more powerful -- which he sells for $80. But the same treatment is required --four straight nights. He also suggested trimming bushes near windows on the outside. They come in through closed windows. He said spritz some mineral spirits around the frame of the window to keep them from coming in. I think the vinegar works about the same,it does kill them -- but I didn't try four straight nights every drain which is absolutely needed. Good luck.
