I have also found this similiar spider in my house, I live in No. California 45 miles east of S.F....It was VERY black & was EXACTLY like a crab, at the base of its pincher-like claws there was a fuzziness to it (i didn't look too close to it, although enough to kill it).... does anyone have any info. on this type of spider?? I think it may have come from a mountainous area where our roommate lives and it hitched a ride on his duffel bag to my house because i have never seen one before. It didn't resemble the pseudoscorpion in body size because the one i saw had a perfectly rounded body, not oval like the "pseudo..." type.
