Red thin worms in shower

I've read some other postings about worms in bathrooms, and though they sound similar, the worms themselves differ. I've seen red/pinkish, long, thin worms crawling around our moist shower walls and grout. They resemble the standard garden earthworm, but are a bit shorter(approx.2-3"), and much thinner- about the diameter of dental floss, at the thinnest. Where are they coming from, and how do I get rid of it? It doesn't sound like fly larvae, but I can't think of anything else...
