Help identify & treat carpet bug - Not beetle

We have these little bugs in the carpet. They are dont look like what i saw of carpet beetles. They look like millipedes but no legs. they just kind of crawl up to the top of the carpet and lay around, sometimes crawl back down. they seem to leave shed skin and some of them are bigger and have sections. they are dark brown to lighter brown.

can someone help identify these and tell us how to treat!
