Im not sure if you have Metal Pipe plumbing or not so please check before you try this. I have found by pouring plain alcohol down the drain and lighting it with a long handle lighter (like they use for grills)this usualy kills bugs and bacteria building up in your drains which I believe attract the bugs or insects in the first place. It has worked for me and is cheap at 99 cents a bottle but if you do this you are doing it at your own risk make sure you poor the alcohol directly down the drain dont spill the alcohol on your clothes or anything else you dont want to burn. Best to you in a bug proof tub.
