: I lifted the lid to my crockpot and found the whole bottom of the pot infested with little "white"ish gray bugs (they sort of look like really thin ground white or balck pepper). After cleaning the crockpot and the counter it was on, they came back again. Now, they are on the same counter and some are crawling onto the stove. : : From all descriptions of behavior, they sound like Booklice (or Psocids), but none of the descriptions on the forum (and on Google) look like what I am talking about. What are they and how do I get rid of them? : Also, I think I have Indian Meal Moths! No matter how clean I keep the kitchen and pantry they still keep coming back! : I must be missing something for these bugs to keep coming back. HELP!!! Try this: Locate the source of infestation before any type of treatment. Examine closets, pantry's and stored goods for larvae, moths, and damage. Sanitation, Sanitation, Sanitation! Get the idea?! Infested items should be thrown out, or placed in a seal tight container and frozen for a couple of days. Freezing the infested items will kill all lifecycle stages of this pest. Vacuum and clean all cracks and crevices in closets and other rooms infested. Destroy cocoons and larvae that may be found in the cracks between shelves, moldings, and doorframes, on ceilings of cupboards, or where room walls and ceiling meet. After vacuuming cracks and crevices in closets and other rooms infested, an Indian Meal Moth Pheromone Trap should be placed in areas that contain items the larvae feed on. In small areas, we recommend just one trap. Too many traps will confuse the moths and you won't achieve proper control. The recommended height is eye level.
