this all started in june after returning from europe.
bedbugs then stinging bites that i'm told aren't associated with bed bugs. i also had crawling sensations in ears, nose and on head. i applied enzyme to those areas repeatedly and it stopped for a while. it starts on the head in the late afternoon/early evening. often it feels as if something is chewing my ear. my mother has been getting the stinging bites since june. up to a hundred or more a day. her car is the worst. we caught 2 cat fleas on glue boards one in her car one in the house. so we treated for those 2. slowed the bites down for my mom a little. i would think if we had a flea infestation for 5 months i'd at least see one now and then . we both have little red dots in various places on the skin. we've both seen a dermotoligist and were told we were clean about 2 months ago. i just ignored the crawling sensations seemed to work until i started getting bitten by the bed bugs again that i thought were gone. we decided to have the house fumigated with vicane gas, not sprayed , but tented and gassed . we had enough of dealing with the bedbugs and what are supposed to be fleas. in order to leave the house with out bugs we went shopping for new clothes and shoes the night before. we put them in garbage sacks as we bought them. then the bags were sprayed with insect repellant. then they were put in totes outside the back door. the next day we showered and then bathed in avon skin so soft. then sprayed ourselves with avon expedition while in the tub. then we walked through the house and out the back door and dressed outside. i sprayed kleen free enzyme all along our paths before the bathing process started. we got rides from friends before checking into our hotel. the stinging bites started after being oout of the house a couple hours.
it does seem to me that cat fleas would be reppelled by all we did. i think it's likely not cat fleas or just cat fleas. so now our house is clean after being gassed. but we're not. and we can't figure out how to get bug free. my mother has been having heart arythmia from all this stress, she's 75 . we just don't know what to do. another odd thing about the bedbugs is i know these will travel in hair. the literature says they do not. since they're in the tick family it is possible that we have parasite infestations secondary to the bed bug bites. trying to figure out a strategy and very exhausted. anyone got ideas? Joanne you out there?
