: The bugs are very very small...any where from 1/4 to 1/2 the size of a lady bug. They are a dull brown, but have little wings and will fly short distances if bothered, but they primarily walk/crawl. They really come out later in the day, especially at sunset. At times, I've found a few in my bathtub, but the majority "hang out" at the windows.

: They do not bite or eat clothing and I've never found them in/near food. They seem to live a day or 2 and then die...they are also VERY easy to kill, with a light tap which causes a faint crunch sound (I know, I know...ewwww!). Though they seem relatively harmless, they're just gross!

: Anyone know what these darn things are and how to get RID of them? I have 2 cats, so any non-toxic remedy would be preferred.

Sounds like some sort of outdoor beetle. Spray Ficam W inside and outside once a month for control. Keep the cats off until dry.
