I have also found the odd few carpet beetles and their larvae (called 'woolly bears'). I am positive that they don't bite but some people can experience irritaion from their hairs. I have never found a load all in the same place, or found lots of holes in my clothes etc. The best thing to do is vacumn regularly, especially around the edges of carpets, stairs etc, and inside your wardrobes. They freaked me out at first but when I realised they weren't going to take over my house I felt a lot better! Good luck.
