: I have used the vinegar and water mix and it does not work!!!! In fact it's worse. Here in Pittsburgh, PA, it's getting cold, so I hope that this will kill these things. I am thinking about not running my furnace for awhile just to see if the cold weather has any effect.

I also live in pittsburgh and these things are eating me alive. I can't see them. What the **** are they? When peopl eare near me I can see them smacking themselves because they're being bitten by my bugs??!!!! LOL Do these things fly, hop, walk what??? How do they get around so quickly? What are they? Help I tried permithian creme 1%. The bugs laughed at it and now they're really pissed. Help!!!! These things are some bad Mo Fo's. I'll shower and then go into a room in my house and I can actually feel them the very second I enter the room. But can't see them???? Help!!

: : : : What's the ratio to make this 'magic' vinegar spay - %vinegar + %salt + %water?

: : : : : : : : : : : : : : : Something has invaded our house. We live in Florida and recently have had a lot of rain (29
: : : : : : : : : : : : : : : days of it) two week ago something began biting my husband and then me. You can't see them,
: : : : : : : : : : : : : : : they are in our bed, in our clothes, in the carpets etc. We tried bug bombing, and washing
: : : : : : : : : : : : : : : the dogs and spraying the cats. They
: : : : : : : : : : are not FLEAS! We know fleas. They actually got worse
: : : : : : : : : : : : : : : after we bug bombed. (Twice) We now have a pest control company spraying our house but these
: : : : : : : : : : : : : : : things are crawling on us all of the time. Biting and crawling. We went to my husband dermatologists,
: : : : : : : : : : : : : : : and all he did was give us some hydrocortisone cream. I asked him for some insect ointment
: : : : : : : : : : : : : : : but he said well they are not burrowing into your sking so he would not prescribe it. No they
: : : : : : : : : : : : : : : are just crawling all over us. We wash our clothes and sheets and the next day we have to do it again.
: : : : : : : : : : : : : : : Someone help. I don't know how much more of this I can take. If the spraying works for the
: : : : : : : : : : : : : : : house what can I get a doctor to prescribe for me!!!!

: : : : : : : : : : : : : : Hi, my heart goes out to you, my family has been battling this for a year now. We also live in Florida, but i have talked to a lady with the same problem and she lives in Chicago. I wash my bedding everyday and change clothes two to three times a day, I have been in tears many days including today. I have had two diff pest control companies out, they both said that we had bird mites, we have sprayed, fogged, fumigated, I have spent much money and to no avail. I even got my doc to give me a script for body mites but of course that did not help because they dont live on humans, they inhabit the furniture, carpet, and clothes. My oldest daughter had her carpet removed it helped a little. Permetrin is the best stuff to spray, ant or roach spray, but it has not fixed my problem, I hope we find a way to rid ourselves of this. Good luck

: : : : : : : : : : : : : Hi, I also live in Florida and have these mites. My wrists look terrible from scratching. It happens only at night - I think they are in the pillows, Its getting expesive buying new pillows....anyone find something that works??

: : : : : : : : : : out.

: : : : : : : : : : : So you didnt order anything on this website?? THEse bites are killing me!

: : : : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : : : p

: : : : : : : We have started spraying a mixture of vinger, salt and water all around the house. it seems to be working. We also removed all our hibicus plants that were near the house (we found the specks on there also) I do not sleep at our house but my husband has not been bitten in 5 days. I clean everything everyday and spray the mixture. They seem to only be in our living room now and front bedroom. I have tried to get an entomologist to help but everything I sent him he says is nothing. He is now questioning our mental heatlh. Thanks a lot. anyway try the mixture. it will help.

: : : : : : I feel for you
: : : : : : It is inyresting that you say that about the plant we akso have it but I thought it had white fly I am cutting it down in the morning. My problem has not been solved either, Are any of you feeling sick.? My dog died kast week and I have been taking her in because I swore there was something wrong,I have had terriable joint pains,I also have now been diagnosted with somthing called dermodex. But the doctor thinks its secondary to some fungal infection, I spent a fortune on Air tests and we did come up with 2 toxic mold spores. But it dosent help find the problem, I think it comes from the dirt.Try a Air purifier it does help a little. good luck to all of us nuts

: : : : : Hey listen. We cut down everything around the house and I sprayed the yard with the vineger mixture. These things are almost gone. No more bitting, just occasional little nips. I still have no idea what these things are but I am acutally feeling a little more positive. I don't feel sick, just really really tired. My cat died while this was going on, but he had eaten grass which had so much pesticide on it it even killed him a week and a half after the bug company sprayed. that is why we are not using any more pesticides. If I feel anything walking on me or biting I spray myself with the vineger mixture. Not too much just a little mist of it. works great. I know that the Off spray was making me ill. and I do have really bad dry skin from all of this. I also know I have a lot more spots (looks like freckles) that I did not have before this began. I hope the plant thing works for you as well.
: : : Hi danny, I can tell you that I use the white vinegar. I bought a spray bottle from walmart, I put 1/4 salt then fill with mostly vinegar and a little HOT water, heat helps too. I also an hour or two before bed put sticky tape on my heating pad and put it under my bed, the mites are attracted to heat and they walk across and die. I can tell you this has helped me more than any of the poisons. Good Luck,
: : : Debby

: : To all of you!
: : I am so glad to know I am not alone. I live in Illinois, central Illinois. We have recently loaded our trunk with two items I think may have been the culprit for us, no three. PINE BEDDING from a feed store, and mortor from a home improvment store. I also bought a yardstick, that itched the moment I picked it up at a retail store,I should have left it there. I sat it in my hallway, for a few days. As I traveled through the house with it, incountered these things, crwaling up my arm to my head and biting. Now I am having to go through everything with a fine tooth comb. Everytime we bring things in from the trunk, and sometimes the auto, it starts all over again. So you might try treating your vehickles. I have been left hypersinsitive, from using lindane and pyrithrins, years ago, and was just getting over it this year, now this!

: : Could be the pyritheians works, but you are getting reinfested. I read on one page that, we are bringing some pretty tough mites in, from the market place, like pine bedding, and furnishings, etc. What I am puzzeled about is mites are not supposed to live in homes for very long. And are subject to temperature changes.
: : I must tell you that I put my main vac attachment in hot boiling water, with vinigar, and soda, and soap, and theses mites survived! I removed the brush attachment after the second attempt of boiling water treatment, and was able to clean off with an alcolhol solution.

: : They do seem to be susseptable to alcohol, eucalyptus, and vinigar, when wiped directly. I also read that alum, you use in pickling, kills microscopic animals, when mixed with water. And heard that spiders will not come near the stuff. If these are mites they are in the spider family. But be careful with Alum, it blocks pores and can cause dermatitis in synsative individuals.
: :
: : To sooth and heal your skin, try that Johnson's vapor sooth baby bath.
: : It has done wonders for me! It sooths the skin, and kills thoses critters, or at least makes them let go. I find it to work for cleaning some surfaces too. I am sinsitive to vinigar so I have to use it sparingly.
: : Oh I have a big question~ Do any of you use papertowels? I have been getting the same sinero, from the papertowels that i use. since I stopped using them, no biting bugs. Been wondering if it is from recycleing paper. I also wonder, if it is not from, this war we are in. ?????? Your comments would be appreciated. Oh! this is nopt the first sight I found where folks are talking about this mysterious unwelcome visitor. Most though, either live in or have visited Fla. We haven't but who knows where that pine bark came from, and, I do have some furnishings, that my mom brought from florida, 2 years ago. Our weather has been like this...spring flash flooding...then drout....then a hard brief rain....then dry. Oh our trees, are showing signs of mite infestation too. The reason the The exterminaters and doctors think we are nutso is because they are baffeled, and perhaps they have not gotten enough reports. Perhaps we should ask them to go to these pages. Tenacia
