: : : On our front porch we've seen several long (6 inches) very thin worms with flat heads. They are moist like eathworms and appear to have several different colors on this bodies. Any clue what they are?

: : we too have seen these worms, they act like a worm, have streaks like a slug, but have a flat head likea hammerhead shark...???

: Found it!! Here is the link. It is a land planarian. They are carnivores and a main part of their diet is earthworms - which are beneficial to the soil. http://creatures.ifas.ufl.edu/misc/land_planarians.htm
: Hope this helps!!

I found one in my backyard here in Michigan. It is only about 3 inches long. (I almost fed it to the goldfish... but let it go since it was so odd.)
