I have just in the past 2 weeks been fighting with getting rid of wasps like your talking about. It digs hole that look like a mole dug them. I have killed one of them and they are very big. The one I killed was about 2 .75 inches wing span and about 2 inches long. They can dig like rabbits and very fast. I have tried to fill the holes with poision and put the dirt back but they just dig out in another spot overnight. If you find a cure please let me know.
