Big Black Roach Looking Bugs

We just moved into a house and I am finding large black roach looking bugs around the house. 1 1/2 to 2 inches long. Are these roaches or waterbugs or what? And how do I get rid of them. I find them in the bathroom, living room, all over the house. Can anyone help me get rid of them?
