I would almost guarantee what you are describing is a bug called a chigger. I live in Virginia, and from time to time, I have seen infestations of chiggers. Not sure how to get rid of them-they happened to be at a place I used to work years ago. I would go to Google.com and type in Chiggers removal and see what comes up.

: We have an huge infestation of very tiny orange bugs with a very painful bite on our new pool deck and in the pool. We have been having alot of rain for the past month and they seem to be worse when its wet outside. Any suggestions as to what they are and what to do about them?
