Put witch hazel on the bites with a cotton ball. See if tiny black specks come off when you do this. Apply a baking soda paste to the bites. You can put baking soda in the bath water and this will stop the itching. Both treatments will kill microscopic bugs that may be hanging around on your skin. You can pick them up on your feet from the floor and carpet during the day. They are most active at night so wash off your feet before bed. Three kinds of bugs frequently infest bedding: fleas, bedbugs, and mites. Ther is a prescription cream called Eurax that helps waith mites. : I need someone's advice. I woke up about four days ago with an intense itch on my top of my feet and legs. I realized I had been scratching them to a point were I broke the skin. I thought these to be the worst mosquitos ever. The funny thing is that I did not have them before I went to bed. : Then I said to my self the bites are pretty bit, red, swollen and itch like crazy. The itching still has not stopped. : Today my four year old daughter woke up with 8 bites on her legs. She said the itch so bad. They look like my bites. : They are only on our legs and top of feet. Does anyone know what these could be and how to treat them. Is there a cure to stop the itching, regular calamine and over the counter ointments (cortaide, and aveeno) are not working. Our town is small and our doctor closed the office for a week, so I appreciate any home advice. : Ali
