I have very sensitive hearing. My only complaint is that they keep me up at night. Sorry, but my sleep is more important than there happiness. I recommend a night patrol with rolled up newspaper and flashlight. I've become quite adept at swatting them. If too high, I shoot them down with wasp spray and then swat. The wasp spray is not the least bit toxic to them, but slows them down long enough for the swat. If I can consistently kill about three per week, the yard stays fairly clear of them. I'm a bit of a pacifist, so the elimination program is one of shear desperation--avoidance of sleep deprivation.
