I have a similar small black bug...the specs are: 4mm long X 2mm wide, oval, black with some brown on back visible with magnifier glass only. 6 legs, small pinhead size head with two very short antenna. Find them on the kitchen floor, first thought they were coffee grounds, been sweeping them up for months...yesterday moved stove, dishwasher, refrigerator and there were 1,000's. Looked like they were in saw dust, think it's larva shell. Only find them on the floor, very slow moving. Thoughts?

If so, seems to be common, although I've lived in the south all my life and have never seen these!
